Local Favourites

Step outside the Inn and into the best of Gore Bay. Set sail with Canadian Yacht Charters, located just steps away, offering charters, day sails, and sailing school, plus access to full marina services. Stroll the boardwalk to enjoy local favourites like Purvis Fish & Chips, Split Rail Brewing, and Finnia Chocolate & Cacao. For the adventurous, take in the views from East Bluff Lookout or visit the historic Janet Head Lighthouse. Just 5 km away, Manitoulin Golf features a scenic 9-hole course and a cozy clubhouse to unwind after a round.

Meet Your Host

I am a globetrotter who spends the winter months travelling the world. My children and grandchildren have lived overseas for many years launching my cosmopolitan lifestyle. I am a cordon bleu-trained chef passionate about art, design, food, and wine.

My husband, Mark, and I owned a family cottage on Manitoulin Island where my children grew up spending their summers forging great lifelong memories and experiences. We always wanted to come back to live on this “magical” and spiritual island. From my point of view, there is no more breathtaking place on this earth than Manitoulin Island. We fell in love with the Queen’s Inn the moment we walked through the front door. For us, this feels like the realization of everything we’ve worked toward—our passions, our purpose, and our journey coming full circle. Our mission is to preserve the Inn’s structural integrity, timeless beauty, and historical significance—and to share its magic with you
